So you have ridden the Tour de Broads and a few other sportives. What’s next ????
Well, what about 6 riding days each with the style and hospitality of a fully supported TPR sportive blended with local Mallorca expertise plus a luxurious half-board 4-star hotel ?
We have created an exclusive Tour de Broads Abroad holiday for a small group of like-minded riders and friends and you can bring along a non-riding partner for good measure!
We will only have around 20 places available, this is a fabulous chance to ride fully guided and supported just like a pro for a week in the autumn sunshine and warmth in one of the World’s best cycling environments whatever your experience or fitness levels.
All you have to do is get to the Palma Airport on Saturday 11th October and we organise everything from there until we drop you off on Saturday 18th October.
We would love to share the week with you… we will be riding too and Ben from Pedal Revolution will be with us too all week for any mechanicals, service work and Precision Bike Fit support.

A cycling holiday needs to be… well…. a holiday with lots of opportunities to cycle! But riding abroad can be daunting. There are so many options and how do you know who to trust ? Can you speak the local language? What routes to take each day for the best riding roads? What can you safely achieve on your own? What about if anything goes wrong? Where do I trust for bike hire?
At TPR Events, as cyclists ourselves, we too have dreamed of a cycling holiday in Mallorca for a long while. We like the idea of riding smooth roads with courteous drivers. We especially relish the chance to ride in short sleeves and shorts in a mid-twenties climate in October! We absolutely love the idea of waking up each morning and having the choice of a longer mountains ride or a shorter flatter ride both led by local experienced guides and with full support incase we run into problems.
So we have teamed up with our friends at Ciclos Major, one of Mallorca’s longest established and most popular holiday experts, to create the familiar feel of The Tour de Broads but with the somewhat different environment of Mallorca. It will not all be cycling either. Our rides will finish mid-afternoon leaving plenty of time to explore from our well positioned 4 star hotel near the old town at Alcudia. Each evening you will have a warm invitation to join us and the your fellow riders for dinner and we may have a few daily awards to present as we share the stories of the day.

Meet Your Hosts
Even though we have spent over 10 years delivering Sportives we recognise that to offer the same level of service and proposition that our riders expect from us we would need to find a local team in Mallorca who shared our passion for riding. Let us introduce Darryl and Liz from Cyclos Major who will, with their experienced team, be hosting us for the week – which means we can ride with you too!
Darryl and business partner Liz have been providing cycling training camps and holidays on the island of Mallorca for the past 20 years. Ciclos Major set about offering something different for the 2020s, realising that whilst for some it’s all new, for many, having visited the island several times, Mallorca is no longer a novelty, or an adventure. That shouldn’t be the case, so it’s time to put the buzz back into Mallorca!
With an extended and enhanced team of experienced guides offering full support to cyclists, Ciclos Major offers a fresh approach to riding in Mallorca, offering high class accommodation, with high quality food and total daily back-up during activities, meaning guests will want for nothing during their stay.
Ciclos Major organise private airport transfers and offer quality bike hire locally ranging from aluminium road bikes from 169Euro to full carbon bikes with Di2 and aero wheels for 276Euro per week.
Pedal Revolution’s Ben will also be travelling and riding with us. Ben is a qualified mechanic and Precision Bike Fitter so whether you choose to hire or bring your own bike your machine will be well looked after as well and be comfortable to ride!
Daily Group Rides
Depending on who comes along, Ciclos Major will provide guides for some or all of the below groups. Each group is led by a experienced Mallorca cycle guide who knows the roads and island well so expect the best riding roads, views and challenges as they show us their years of experience. There will be mechanical support en-route and at the stops and out and about on the road and TPR’s Neil and John will be riding with you (John in the longer distance group, Neil having a more gentle bimble no doubt!).
The Zafiro Tropic & Spa Aparthotel is a four-star hotel located in the heart of Alcudia Harbour. Close to restaurants and shops, the hotel is also only 200 metres from the magnificent Alcudia Bay.
Renovated in 2009 and further in 2022, its comfortable and ample facilities are perfectly suited to the whole family: spacious, elegant rooms; three swimming pools, including a 5 lane 25m pool; a Spa with an indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath and Jacuzzi, as well as a fitness room .The Zafiro Tropic offers delicious cuisine in each of its buffet, snack and “à la carte” restaurants. All rooms have separate bathrooms, television and a kitchenette with a hotplate, fridge and kettle to enable you to enjoy post ride refreshments. Our packages are half board so that you can enjoy a hearty pre-ride breakfast whether it be a full-English or continental. In the evening you can sit back and relax in the dining room and sample a variety of food choices. Free internet access is available in all rooms.
Your (hire) bike is kept in a locked storage room which you access with your room card. The hotel provides a cable and padlock when you check in to enable you to secure your bike to a hook, so it’s very secure. We have a resident mechanic and there are also many other local bike shops close to the hotel.
There is a supermarket within the hotel and larger supermarkets (Eroski and Lidl) are located within a 5 to 10-minute walk.

Whether you take your own bike with you or choose to hire, Pedal Revolution’s Ben will be on hand all week to help you build your bike after transit. As a trained precision bike fitter Ben can also ensure your bike setup is spot-on for you!

Pricing & Booking
Pricing includes all the above and is very competitively priced from £841 for the week. You just need to find your way to Palma airport (and back to your home airport!) , your own lunches if you need them and drinks etc.
